He began his musical journey as a member of the band S5, which was formed through a music reality show. His talent was recognized by renowned composer A.R. Rahman, who gave him his breakthrough opportunity in playback singing. 

Benny gained widespread popularity with songs like “Kaise Mujhe” from Ghajini and later delivered multiple chartbusters across Bollywood and South Indian cinema.
